WHAT?
After the many, many unprecedented (yuck) changes COVID-19 presented us with, our LUDALA project became the "LUDALA Collection" - 3 short films, made earlier this year that will be debuting at this year's digital Edinburgh Fringe Festival
(everybodi say yeh yeh!) AND NOW we are bringing one of these short films to life through a LIVE outdoor theatre performance.

marriage fusion of our tongues.
The mandem, the galdem and the nonsense in between!
IDUY is the joyous ode to waaaaayyy back when; a surreal celebration of our love of food, expressive mannerisms, and Black Brit millennial identities still glistening with diaspora roots.
Closed Audition
Seeking 5 Actor/Movement Performers
for devising in motion
Selected performers will be invited to a zoom audition (date negotiable) and the first pre session on 11th AUG. Performers who fit the brief, and who work well with the existing cast will be selected.

THE PROCESS
8 Rehearsal days, and 1 show day with 2 performances at GDIFest 2021 and 1 show day at Albany Theatre with 2 performances.
Led/directed by Initiative.dkf, performers will be devising the live show. Utilising the "Is Dat U Yh" poetic film script as the stimuli, we will be bringing this film to life.
The show will include, theatre, direct address, physical theatre, improv, quick paced text, free-styling, movement/dance.
Performance:
Will be 15 - 30min in duration. 2 performance across the day, the festival will release the exact schedule closer to the time.

COVID SAFETY
We will be working in accordance with the most up-to-date government guidance regarding the covid-19 virus. Including bi-weekly testing, covid health declarations, daily non-contact thermometer checks, social distancing, antiviral sanitiser, and mask/visor use etc. Likewise Albany have strict covid prevention procedures in place with hand sanitiser provided at various points in the buildings.
